Reasonable Physical Standards

These standards were developed by someone else, but are robust but attainable standards for vitality and mobility. While not elite standards, they will put you in the top percentile of physical fitness and athleticism. They do not scale for height, weight, or genetics — nor should they.

  1. 225lb (102kg) bench press
  2. 315lb (142kg) deadlift
  3. 6:30 mile
  4. 75 second 400m
  5. 5 rounds sparring without gassing (kickboxing at 75% capacity)
  6. Able to touch fists to floor
  7. 45lb (20kg) 12 mile ruck in 3 hours
  8. 10 pull-ups
  9. 50 push-ups
  10. 600m swim without stopping
